Easily Change Blocks to Meet Your PCR Needs

The ProFlex™ PCR Thermal Cycler has 5 different blocks, including a first-of-its-kind 3 x 32-well block, that can be changed with the flip of a switch. This block allows up to three experiments to be run simultaneously, completely independent of each other and without interference.

Dual 96-well (dual 96-well) and double 384-well (dual 384-well) blocks are available for your high-throughput sequencing needs, and a tool to support Applied Biosystems™ OpenArray plate technology for genotyping analysis on the Applied Biosystems™ QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-Time PCR System. Precise PCR Optimization with VeriFlex Technology

VeriFlex Blocks provides a better-than-gradient approach to PCR optimization. With three separate Peltier blocks, you have precise control over the three temperature zones.

What is VeriFlex™ Blocks temperature control?

Thermal cyclers using VeriFlex technology are constructed with three or more separate heating/cooling elements under each of the three or more segmented metal blocks, as shown in the figure. Each pair of heating/cooling elements and segmented metal blocks is completely isolated from the others. to help prevent heat interactions. As a result, VeriFlex technology provides a true linear temperature gradient across metal blocks with the ability to adjust up to six different temperatures, as shown in the Figure. The user can set each temperature zone independently, providing better control of temperature optimization.

Interchangeable Blocks

If your research needs change in the future, or if you share the system with someone who requires a different format, simply remove the 96-well block at the top of the instrument and replace it with another block type. This step typically takes less than 15 seconds and requires no tools or kits.

Simulation Modes

The ProFlex™ PCR system is equipped with Simulation Modes that emulate the ramp rate of your legacy thermal cycler. Simulation modes are available for MJ Research PTC 200, Bio-Rad® C1000, Bio-Rad® MyCycler™, Eppendorf® Mastercycler®, Applied Biosystems® 9700, Applied Biosystems® 9600 and Applied Biosystems® Veriti® systems.

VeriFlex™ Blocks: Enhanced PCR Functionality

VeriFlex™ blocks are controlled by multiple Peltier elements (6 individual Peltier elements per 96-well module). This gives you ultimate control over your block to run multiple reaction conditions simultaneously for precise, 'better-than-gradient' optimization experiments and precise incubations and other non-PCR workflows.
